FAQ
short answers.

The questions buyers ask most. Errors are in Troubleshooting.

01Frequently asked

Does SLUICE hold the pool or sign anything?

No. It holds no key and produces no signature. The project's own wallet funds and signs every batch.

Do I need a server?

No. SLUICE runs on your machine and has no backend.

Can I run it for several projects?

Yes. Each project has its own tokens, wallets, rules and history. Your fee is one operator setting across all of them.

Direct transfers or Merkle claim?

Direct reaches every holder and needs no program; it costs more for large holder sets. Merkle moves nothing until a holder claims and needs a claim program you deploy. The dry run prices both and recommends one when it can.

Does SLUICE include a claim program?

No. It produces the root, proofs and the exact leaf encoding your program must use (encoding).

Does it work with Token-2022?

Yes. The token program is read from the mint. Transfer fees and transfer hooks are detected and warned about.

Can I call payouts "dividends" or "yield"?

The presets exist, but whether a word is appropriate for a project is a legal question for that project (Compliance).

Can it show holders what they will receive next time?

No, on purpose. SLUICE shows only what already happened.

Is there a Windows or Linux app?

No. The configured targets are macOS, web, Android and iOS.
